Peter R. Stephan (President): Peter's been involved with retirement plan design and administration since 1975, including positions with some of the largest and oldest independent plan administrators. He is a member (and past president) of the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA) and an associate member of American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). He is also a member of:

  • Executive Council for the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics at Cal State Fullerton.
  • Vistage International.
  • ProVisors.
  • James R. Norman, QPA (Executive Vice President of Sales and Administration): Jim is an expert in the technical aspects and requirements of qualified retirement plan structure, regulation and administration. He is an active member of ASPPA and a designated Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA). He is a much sought after authority and speaker on retirement plan design.

    Risë Norris Spiegel, APA (Vice President of Operations): Risë is a designated Accredited Pension Administrator (APA) with over two decades of operational and technical experience in plan administration. Formerly with CNA Trust and Transamerica, she oversees The Pension Group's daily operations, quality control and client satisfaction. She's a member of NIPA, the Employee Benefit Stock Ownership Association and Women in Employee Benefits and the National Association of Women in Business (NAWBO).

    Professional & Support Staff: The Pension Group hires, nurtures and supports over two dozen professional and administrative staff including experts in customer support and administration. Additionally, we maintain one of the only dedicated IT teams in the business in support of your successful plan administration.
